Resource Description
(January 21, 2020: New for 2019-20) This training module provides information and features of the AIR Ways system reporting system which provides teachers with detailed information on student performance on Interim assessments.  
(October 29, 2018: New for 2018-19) The Assessment Viewing Application (AVA) is a component of the Test Delivery System that allows authorized users to view interim assessments for administrative or instructional purposes.  The intended purpose of the AVA is to provide TAs:
  • with access to the actual interim assessments before students are tested.
  • a greater understanding of the content being assessed, and the time needed for students to complete an interim assessment.

It is important that educators review the AVA User Guidance document prior to using this application.

(January 21,2020: New for 2019-20) This module will prepare users to use the Data Entry Interface (DEI) to enter student responses on standard print, large print, and Braille WCAS and ELPA21 assessments.
(February 3, 2017: Updated, refer to revision log on the last slide) This Smarter Balanced ELA Interim Assessment Scoring module provides an overview of the Interim assessment process by covering information on the:
  1. Planning and preparation of using the Assessment Viewing Application, the Interim Blueprints, and the THSS materials.
  2. Administration and scoring, using the TA Interface to manage student's tests, train, and score constructed response items in the THSS.
  3. Reflection of viewing summary reports in the Online Reporting System and/or more detailed item-level and student-level reports in AIR Ways Reporting.

ELA Interim Assessment Scoring
(September 24, 2018: New for 2018-19) This training module will assist TAs and other school personnel as they navigate the Online Reporting System (ORS).
(February 22, 2018: New for 2017-18) This module will define and discuss Smarter Balanced Performance Tasks.

(October 30, 2018: New for 2018-19) The Test Delivery Interface (TDS) modules are designed to help Test Coordinators and TAs understand the interface students will use to take the online test.

This module will define and discuss Smarter Balanced computer adaptive testing (CAT).
